Brownies Keduts

Ingredients: ( half recipe )
75 gr Butter
200 gr Dark Chocolate Converture (chopped)

2 eggs
40 gr Brown Sugar (original 50 gr)
40 gr Sugar (original 50 gr)
1 tsp Vanilla Extract

15 gr Choco Powder
50 gr Self-raising flour (I used 50 gr Plain Flour + 1/4 tsp BP)

Melted chocolate drizzling (optional)

Method:
- Using double boil method, melt the dark chocolate and butter, stir together until mix. Leave it cool and set aside.
- Preheat your oven to 160C
- Mix and stir the eggs, sugar and vanilla. While stirring, pour the chocolate batter slowly and mix well.
- Add in the flour and cocoa powder, stir well.
- Pour into 8 inch square baking tin with greaseproof paper.
- Bake it for 25-30 minutes.
- Let the brownies cool inside the oven with door ajar for 15 mins (I only put 10mins).
- Leave it cool in a pan and transfer out before cutting.

  1. Hi DG, I love brownies but somehow I seldom bake one cos' most recipes add nuts in them. I think I like this recipe without nuts. BTW, what's the height of this brownie?

    1. Hi Kimmy,
      It is for 8 inch pan, however, I only have 9 inch pan. If you bake it into 8 inch will be taller and nicer. Love this recipe, easy to make and yummy too. I baked a few brownies, but this recipe yield super fragile skin (that's why maybe it called Keduts (wrinkles)) Happy Baking, hope you will like it as much as I do :)

  2. Dear, I am absolutely in love with ur brownies. But may I know the sweetness 100g in total isn't it like over too sweet since the flour only 50g and even thought there added 200gdc + 15gcp I guess both chocolates won't really that bitter.... I canot take too sweet so can I cut off the 50g of granulated sugar? Hope to hear from u dear.

    1. Hi Jess, original sweetness recipe is 100g, however I cut to 80 gr. I use 55% converture chocolate, and the sweetness just nice for me. I think it is not advisable to cut off the sugar too much on the brownies, as you will see different texture after you bake it. FYI, I made this the 2nd time, and I fail in making the keduts. I have no chance to try for 3rd time, but here is an important note :
      - just stir egg & sugar will do
      - pour the chocolate to the egg mixture
      - don't overmix

  7. Hallo salam kenal c... mf mau nny utk brown sugar klo di ganti pake sugar biasa apa takaran ny tetap sama? Krn kadar manis brown sugar dan sugar biasa kan tdk sama ya? Please reply ya c... tq..

  9. Sis mau tanya, kalau baked lebih dr 30min, kue nya gagal ya? Krn kan beda oven beda ... Terus dingin kan dlm oven tuh pintu oven nya terbuka ato buka setengah saja ? Tq
